Data Migration

Move forward without leaving your data behind.

For a platform change, a growing business or a collection of spreadsheets that has become difficult to maintain.

THE RESULT WE BUILD TOWARDS

A move to your next system with clear evidence of what transferred and what needs review.

A migration plan, mapped and cleaned records, trial imports and reconciliation checks before the agreed cutover.

  • Source data assessment and field mapping
  • Data cleaning, duplicate detection and validation
  • Trial imports and reconciliation against the source
  • Agreed cutover, backup and rollback arrangements

A CLEAR START. A USEFUL RELEASE.

Know what you’re building before you commit.

01

Map the problem

Walk through the current process, existing tools and the people who need a better outcome.

A defined problem and feasibility check
02

Agree the first release

Review the proposed screens or workflow, deliverables, price and boundaries together.

An agreed scope and acceptance criteria
03

Build with feedback

Review working software against real scenarios so the important details are tested early.

A release checked against the agreed scope
04

Launch with a handover

Agree deployment, documentation, access ownership and any ongoing maintenance before launch.

Clear ownership and support arrangements

BEFORE YOU BUILD

Questions worth asking.

Can you migrate data between our existing and new systems?

We first check the source exports, destination import tools or APIs, field requirements and data volume. A sample migration establishes what can move, what needs transformation and which records require review.

How will we know the migrated data is correct?

Agree validation rules and reconciliation checks before importing. These can compare record counts, identifiers, totals, relationships and representative records between systems, with exceptions recorded for review.

Will a migration interrupt business operations?

Downtime depends on the systems and how data changes during the move. Trial runs, backups, a cutover window and rollback criteria are agreed before the final migration. The plan should explain what your team can use at each stage.
